News & Stories

Following the successful October event in Munich, another 40 great actresses and actors and 16 renowned casting directors came together on Monday for the latest edition of the Speedca:sting series in Berlin. Once again, numerous useful contacts were made and exciting casting ideas were developed in a relaxed atmosphere.
Speedca:sting has been the casting industry’s networking event since 2010. It is organised by ca:stmag – the independent actors’ magazine and etalenta – continental Europe’s leading casting platform. It is a non-profit event.

At the Speedca:sting, the actresses, actors and casting decision-makers, i.e. casting directors, producers, directors and commissioning editors, sit directly opposite one another and get to know each other personally in a very short space of time. After five minutes, they move on. This way, hundreds of contacts are made in one day.

Professional actors can apply with a predetermined scene. A nationwide video pre-jury of casting directors, producers and directors will select the final participants on etalenta, who will receive an invitation to the live event.

Many thanks to our participating casting directors, producers, commissioning editors and directors, who created such a unique atmosphere with their openness and professionalism. And, of course, to the actresses and actors who qualified in this year’s pre-selection on etalenta from over 1100 applications.
Special thanks also to Alina and Vincent Gause and the whole team for your hospitality in the wonderful THEATER IM PALAIS and the support of our sponsors, Bavaria Fiction and Pensionskasse Rundfunk.
It was great fun meeting and talking with you all. We are already looking forward to the next edition of Speedca:sting.
