Since June 2024, our platform has been run without a commercial business model. We work on a non-profit basis. With the membership fees, we run the platform to cover costs and any surpluses are used for the benefit of equal opportunities, transparency and visibility for actresses and actors.
Running a multilingual, professional platform for Europe naturally generates costs: storage space for photos and videos, server infrastructure to enable a reliable online presence and a team that takes care of operations, member support and further development. Our primary goal is to keep the costs for actresses and actors as low as possible. We concentrate on the essentials and do without, for example, expensive marketing campaigns.
That’s why, in addition to a free basic profile, we offer a supporting membership that provides actresses and actors with everything they need for their professional online presence: a full profile on the platform and all the tools they need to proactively make themselves visible. Every supporting member also helps to keep the costs low for themselves and everyone else.

It gives the casting director space to be creative and is therefore an important tool in the casting process.
An about-me-VIDEO is a great tool to showcase yourself, especially (but not only) if you currently do not have a showreel. A good about-me-VIDEO will tell the visitors to a profile something that they can not find out just by reading through the information. A great about-me-VIDEO is memorable.
Additionally, you can add an about-me text and show the casting director your multifacetedness with the photo sildeshow, which is the first thing that catches people’s eye when they open your profile. Supporting members can provide up to 25 photos.
The showreel plays a decisive role in the casting process in Europe.
etalenta is the place for your videos: create up to 5 showreels/playlists – for example, one with scenes in your native language, one for the other languages you speak, another with your voice-over work, etc.
Furthermore, you can put scenes that you don’t currently want to show or want to make available only to certain people in the Media Pool.
You can add new scenes and edit the playlists any time you like.
Supporting members finance the platform and enable its operation for all members. In return for this support, they receive a supporting member badge on their profile, in addition to many other benefits.
In search results, supporting members also appear higher up in the default sorting, if there are basic members in the search results too. However, casting professionals can of course customise the sorting.

etalenta supports drama students and graduates. We offer a graduate membership for drama students at a recognised drama school. With this, the full profile can be used completely free of charge for the first two years. Important: You must be a current student or have graduated in the last two years.
