Brigitte Millar - Biography:
Brigitte Millar is a bilingual German/English actress, who is living and working in Brighton and London in the United Kingdom.. From an early age, she showed great artistic talent. However, her family, which is related to the painter Emil Nolde, discouraged her from pursuing an artistic career. Fast forward several years, when her brother encouraged her to “do something artistic” when Brigitte was made redundant from her day job. Initially, she wanted to study dance, but as the course was fully booked, her brother suggested she try acting. Reluctantly, she agreed and discovered her talent and passion for acting. Shortly after finishing drama college, she was cast as ‘Emmeline Vance’ in ‘Harry Potter & The Order of The Phoenix’ directed by David Yates and has been working ever since. She has also trained with U.S. acting coaches Jack Waltzer, Ivana Chubbuck, Joseph Pearlmann and is a member of the Actors Centre in London.
In 2011, she was awarded “Best Supporting Actress” for her role as ‘Amelia Holland’ in the multi award winning feature film “David is Dying” directed by Stephen Lloyd Jackson at the International Film Festival in Los Angeles. This film is the first British Independent feature film to garner 8 awards in the U.S. alone.
in 2015 she filmed 007 James Bond Spectre playing the villain Dr Vogel opposite Daniel Craig and Christoph Waltz, directed by Sam Mendes and later was asked back to reprise her role in No Time To Die directed by Cari Fukunaga. She is now a U.S. Green card holder and is looking to pursue a career in Europe as well as in the U.S.
Her hobbies are Ballroom dancing and horse riding, reading and visiting art galleries.
She has received multiple awards over the years and won "Best Actress" for Claire Winters in NOX in 2020 at the LONDON INTERNATIONAL MOTION PICTURE AWARDS and at the INDIE X Film Festival in L.A. and the SOUTHERN SHORTS Film Festival.
