Ellen Schneider
is studying at the bilingual acting academy for film and stage in Vienna since 2024. She grew up in Solothurn, Switzerland, where she was in the youth ensemble of the city theatre and soon played her first leading roles in theatre and film projects of graduating students.
At the Theatre - Orchestra Biel Solothurn (TOBS), she played and sang as an extra and in the choir of several theatre and opera productions with guest performances throughout Switzerland. These included “The Rake’s Progress” by Igor Stravinsky, “Cyrano” by Edmond Rostand and "Carmen" by Georges Bizet.
In 2023, she wrote and staged the one-act play “Stockwerk 613” as her graduating project, for which she received an Azeiger Cultural Promotion prize and a Matura prize. For the Azeiger culture evening, she wrote and performed the monologue play “dr purluteri prinz”.
In her free time, she loves singing and listening to music, doing Kung Fu and stage combat, cooking, reading and writing poetry.
