Tell us about yourself and how you got into casting.
Well, during my studies in the university I decided to take an internship at “Edita’s Casting”. Actually, going there I did not know a lot about their activity but once I started, I absolutely fell in love with casting. Now, almost 5 years later I still enjoy my work every day.
What was your experience using the etalenta platform for your casting?
It was a great decision to register here! etalenta provides access a huge number of talents from all over the world!
Why did you choose to use etalenta specifically?
We got a project with some specific requirements – to find actors who are fluent in German, French and English. We thought that it would be hard to do this casting in Lithuania with our local actors and also we were willing to try something new! As we already knew about etalenta from our colleagues, we immediately registered and started our casting process.
What do you like about the platform?
The communication! Once we registered there, the team contacted us immediately. They offered help and suggestions how to organize our working methods. They also gave us a lot of good advice during the whole casting process. We were able to contact and get help anytime we need it, so it was a really pleasant experience.
What advice would you give to actresses and actors who want to work internationally?
The easiest way is to register on e – TALENTA. I believe that this platform is still growing and a lot of casting directors or casting agencies are starting to work through it. Actors and actresses also should not forget about local casting agencies and send them their profiles or CV and after all, just take everything that shows up in the way, do not be afraid of risks and challenges!
What do you look for on an actress’ or actor’s profile?
That depends on the project. Every project and each role are different, so there is no one answer for this question. I would suggest for all the actors and actresses to include as much information as possible about yourself in your profile. Also, it is very important to choose the correct photo for the profile – the photo is the first thing that catches everyone’s eye.
Please tell us a little bit about the film and TV industry in Lithuania – what’s changing and what are your hopes for the future?
We are still growing and continuously developing here with the film and TV industry. Every year Lithuania attracts more and different projects, because we have unique places, architecture, beautiful nature and good professionals. Of course, our goal for the future is to have projects from all over the world so we would be able to make great work together.
